The Malvern Hornets Golf Team earned their first victory of the season by defeating Sandy Valley 165-197 at Great Trail Golf Course. Leading the way for the Hornets was Junior Cam Good firing a 40 while Sophomore Cooper Kiehl carded a solid 41. Sophomore Tyler Pelle and his brother Freshman Ayden Pelle remained steady shooting a pair of 42's.

The Malvern Hornets Golf Team lost its first two matches of the season falling to Minerva on a 5th man tie breaker at 179 a piece. Leading the team was Sophomore Cooper Kiehl with a 42 and Senior Lauren Brown with a 43.
The Hornets then battled Indian Valley at RiverGreens losing 155-170. Leading the way Junior Cam Good firing a 41, followed by Junior Cooper Kiehl and Freshman Ayden Pelle hoisting a pair of 42’s. Rounding out the scoring was Sophomore Tyler Pelle with a solid 45.
The Malvern Hornets Golf Team competed today in the Saints Invite at the very challenging Union Country Club. Leading the way was Sophomore Cooper Kiehl with a solid 85. Senior Lauren Brown and Junior Cam Good posted 98’s. Junior Ian Cobb shot a 117-Go Hornets!
⛳️ Senior Lauren Brown has began her season with a top 5 finish at the IVC Preseason Tournament hoisting an 82 for a 4th Place finish at Hickory Flats and a top 10 finish at the Pirate Invite carding an 83 for a 6th Place finish at Zoar! Go Hornets!

More Great News for the Brown Local School District!
Brown Local Schools will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. Eligibility for this program is determined annually.
Under this option, all children in Brown Local Schools can receive breakfast and lunch at no charge for the entire school year. Each student will be permitted to receive one free breakfast and lunch at no cost each day. Students can purchase additional lunch items along with ala carte items if funds are available on the student's account.

Bush Earns Outstanding Defensive Player Award at OHSBCA All-Ohio Senior All-Star Game
Congratulations to Ethan Bush, who participated in the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Ohio Senior All-Star Tournament at The Ohio State University. The event was played at the home of the Buckeyes, Bill Davis Stadium. Ethan represented the Hornets with great pride, helping lead the Ohio Green Team to a 2-0 Record. The Hornet Shortstop was once again impressive with his glove, earning the Outstanding Defensive Player Award.
Ethan was recently named OHSBCA Second Team All-Ohio. He is a three-time first-team IVC All-Star and will continue his academic and athletic career at Muskingum University this Fall.

🐟 Blake took home the WIN for Malvern Fishing!! Taking 1st place overall and Big Bass weighing in at 4.80lbs. He was also named 2024 SFL Middle School angler of year with 298 out of 300 points!
