As we approach the “100 Most Dangerous Days” on Ohio roads, students were educated on the serious risks of distracted driving and the importance of staying focused behind the wheel.
Special thanks to Owen Ball and the Malvern High School Lighthouse Leadership Team for creating a fun, student-led game that reinforced smart decision-making!
We’re grateful to the following individuals for sharing their time and knowledge with our students:

Big Week for MHS Track & Field!
The Hornets showed up big time at the East Canton Invite on 4/12/25—despite some tough weather conditions! The Boys placed 2nd overall, and we saw two school records go down!
Shoutout to our record breakers:
• Owen Ball – set a new school record in the hurdles and dominated with 1st place finishes in the 100H, 300H, and 4x2, plus 2nd in the 4x4.
• Parker Bowe – smashed both the school and meet record in discus (it literally landed in the street!) and took 1st in the shot put.
Other boys medal winners include:
• Julius Gore – 2nd in the 100M, 1st in 4x2, 2nd in 4x1
• Luke Thomas – 2nd in high jump and part of two placing relays
• Relays – 4x2: 1st | 4x1: 2nd | 4x4: 2nd
Plus strong contributions from Dalton Pennington, Jacob McClelland, Camrin Detchon, Eric Swain, and Cooper Dorr. A total team effort across sprints, distance, field events and relays!
Girls Highlights:
Though down a few teammates, the girls fought hard and placed well!
• Kami Rayborn led the way with 1st in the 400M and 3rd in both the 4x2 and 4x4
• Audrey Sikorsky, Mya Doughty, Emma Maher, and Avery Sprague were strong in relays and hurdles
• Kenna Ball placed in the 3200
