Brown Local Schools Announces Funding Approval for New Malvern Athletic Complex
Brown Local Schools is thrilled to share that the Board of Education has approved funding for the new Malvern Athletic Complex at Malvern Community Park, scheduled to open for the 2025-2026 school year.
About the New Malvern Athletic Complex
The new 6,000-square-foot facility will be built on the current locker room site and includes:
Home and visiting locker rooms
Accessible public restrooms and a family restroom
Weight room
Coaches' offices

The updated athletic complex will replace the existing locker room, which was built in 1989. It addresses the current need for enhanced restrooms and locker rooms to improve our athletes’ and fans' experiences.
Fundraising and Community Support for Additional Improvements
Alongside the complex, the district seeks donor funding for potential additions:
Weight room equipment
Infield turf and drainage for baseball and softball fields – to reduce game cancellations and expand facility use
Football field turf – to benefit football, track, cross country, cheer, band, and elementary events
