Malvern 8th Grade Volleyball Gets A Big Win Over Strasburg! Go Hornets!
The Malvern Hornets Golf Team improved their record to 12-3 by defeating Conotton Valley 173-194. Senior Ethan Bush continued his fine season by carding a 40, while Freshman Cooper Kiehl hoisted a 43. Junior Lauren Brown and Freshman Tyler Pelle both shot a 45 to helps secure the victory.

The Malvern Hornets Golf Team defeated Tusky Valley 184-199 at Wilkshire Golf Course to bring their record to 11-3 on the season. Senior Ethan Bush carded a 43 while Sophomore Cameron Good posted a 46. Freshmen Tyler Pelle and Cooper Kiehl shot a 47 and 48 respectively.

The Malvern Hornets gained their 10th victory of the season by defeating Minerva and United Local 167-190-254 at Great Trail Golf Course. Senior Ethan Bush and Sophomore Cameron Good fired a 40 and 41. Cooper Kiehl and Tyler Pelle played well carding a 43 each to help the cause.

What to know: When Malvern mauled Tusky Valley 41-7 last year, the teams emerged with records of 4-0 and 0-4. Now both teams are 3-0. "Talk about a team that's vastly, vastly improved," said Malvern head coach Matt Chiurco. … Tusky Valley turned heads with a 45-14 rout of Fairless in the home opener. A grinding 39-24 win at Martins Ferry puts the Trojans in position for their first 4-0 start since 2001, midway through Dale Martini's 16-year run as head coach. … QB Cole Clements has given Tusky Valley strong senior leadership along with John Leffler, Colton Selinsky, Logan Mckinney, Virgil Myers and others. Bruising brothers Dylan and Ben Congdan help set a tone in the trenches. "All over the field I can point to guys who have taken the bull by the horns and stepped up and made plays," head coach Greg Dickerhoof said. … Malvern got to 3-0 by outlasting Harrison Central 22-20. "Our effort was tremendous," Chiurco said. "The good news is we're 3-0. I don't think we've played to our potential yet." … The Hornets led 233-35 in passing yards and trailed 218-100 in rushing yards. Dylan Phillips provided seven catches for 121 yards and two TDs. Attention All High School Students: are you interested in planning school dances and events? Do you like to spread school spirit and create new school traditions? Do you want to be a voice for the students of Malvern High School? Then the Student Council is for you!! All high school students are welcome to join!! Our first meeting of the year will be this Thursday, September 7 during 5B in Mrs. Spencer's room - Room 127. See you there!!
Final Forms need to be completed ASAP. We have several field trips lined up and we want all students to be able to participate. If Final Forms are not completed, then you will not be able to participate in field trips, etc. Any questions, please see your teacher or the office.
