Malvern High School Juniors Shine at RYLA Leadership Conference

Malvern, OH – Congratulations to Malvern High School juniors David Krutilek, Jacob McClelland, and Zoe Sikorsky on their selection and participation in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference! The event took place from Friday, February 7th to Sunday, February 9th, at the Marriott in Canfield, Ohio, bringing together young leaders from across the state.

RYLA is an intensive leadership development experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts. Participants engage in interactive workshops, team-building activities, and leadership exercises designed to enhance their communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills. The Malvern Rotary generously provided funding to cover all costs associated with the conference, ensuring that these outstanding students could take full advantage of this transformative opportunity.

Reflecting on her experience, Zoe Sikorsky expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am so fortunate to be given the opportunity to attend the RYLA leadership conference. I am so thankful for the local Rotary Club for sponsoring me! I learned important leadership skills during this conference, like working with others and communicating.”

David Krutilek also spoke highly of the event, stating, “The program was very positive and interactive. We were engaged the entire time in great events and activities.”

Jacob McClelland echoed their enthusiasm, adding, “I had a great time at RYLA and learned a lot about leadership skills and communication.”

The Malvern community is proud of these students for representing their school with excellence and looks forward to seeing how they apply their newly honed leadership skills in the future.
