Brown Local Community Celebrates School Board Appreciation at February Meeting

Malvern, OH – February 10, 2025 – Students, staff, and community members gathered at the Brown Local School Board meeting to show their heartfelt appreciation for the Brown Local Board of Education. 

A special "Superhero" BOE Appreciation Video was presented to celebrate the occasion, showcasing the board members’ dedication and impact on the schools. The High School Leadership and Communication Class created the video, incorporating this year's theme of superheroes. Additionally, elementary students expressed their thanks during the meeting.

“We are incredibly grateful for our school board members,” said Superintendent Mark Scott. “They work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our students receive the best possible education and opportunities for success.”

The board members recognized for their dedication include Tami Hulit, Nathan Bush, Tara Bowe, Ron Ruegg, and Kim Engle.

The celebration underscored the importance of school boards, often called the district's “superheroes,” as they navigate challenges and work collaboratively to create a thriving educational environment.

As the meeting concluded, attendees expressed their heartfelt appreciation, reinforcing the sentiment that the Brown Local Board of Education is an invaluable part of the district.
