***Current students’ Final Forms must be reviewed, updated, and signed before the first day of the new school year.

If you need assistance with enrollment or updating forms, please visit the offices of Malvern Elementary (door A5) or Malvern Middle School and Malvern High School (door A4). Offices will be open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. (closed noon-1 p.m. for lunch). The High School and Middle School Offices are available on August 1st, and the Elementary Office opens on August 5th.  You can also reach either office by phone at 330-863-1355.

Exciting News for Brown Local School District Families for School Meals.

Brown Local Schools will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) for the 2024-2025 school year. Eligibility for this program is determined annually.

Under this option, all children in Brown Local Schools can receive breakfast and lunch at no charge for the entire school year. Each student will be permitted to receive one free breakfast and lunch at no cost each day. Students can purchase additional lunch items and a la carte items if funds are available in the student's account.

If you need any assistance with setting up your student’s lunch account, don't hesitate to get in touch with Mrs. Stacey Bettis, Food Service Director, at bettiss@brownlocalschools.com

By appointment, Kindergarten Readiness Assessment for first-year kindergarten students will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Kindergarten students will be assigned staggered start dates of Thursday, August 22nd, or Friday, August 23rd. All kindergarten students will come together on Monday, August 26th.

Elementary school students in grades 1-5 will begin school Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

Elementary students arriving by car should enter from Coral Rd. and follow the drive to the back of the building. Students must exit their vehicle at the crosswalk and walk to door C2. Drivers should exit the parking lot after dropping off children; drivers should not park in the driveway. Monitors will be out back at 8:05 AM. Doors will lock at 8:20 AM. After 8:20 AM, the student must be signed in tardy by an adult at the elementary office at door A5.

Elementary students should only be dropped off or picked up in the front of the building if they are signed in late or signed out early. All yellow curbs must be clear in case of an emergency. Please park in a visitor parking spot.

Elementary students riding home in cars will be dismissed at 3:15 PM to the back of the building at door C2. Elementary students picked up as car riders at the end of the day require car passes issued in the elementary office. Parents should visit the office before the first day of school to receive a pass for their car rider. Each student will receive a student car rider identification card with an ID number.

Malvern Elementary School hours:

The school doors will open at 8:05 AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:20 AM. Car riders are dismissed at 3:15 PM, and bus riders are dismissed at 3:20 PM.

Homeroom lists for Malvern Elementary School students will be posted on doors A2-A3 by the end of the day on Friday, August 16th.

School supply lists for Malvern Elementary students are listed on the school website under the Forms and Links Tab at www.brownlocalschools.com.

Malvern Middle and High School

Sixth-grade orientation will be held on the first day of school on Wednesday, August 21st. Parents can request an individual orientation by appointment by contacting Principal Tim Babiczuk.

The first day of school for middle and high school will be Wednesday, August 21st.

Class lists for homerooms will be posted for grades 6-12 by Friday, August 16th. School supply lists for middle and high school students will also be posted and ready on the school website at www.brownlocalschools.com.

Malvern Middle School and Malvern High School students begin classes at 7:25 AM, and they may enter the building for breakfast at 7:05 AM.

School is dismissed at 2:30 PM.

The buses drop off and pick up students in front of the building. Parents and guardians bringing their children to school should, therefore, drop off or pick up their children in front of the building using the car lane. For the safety of all children, parents, and guardians are asked not to drop off or pick up students in the back of the school building because high-school student drivers are arriving and leaving from that area simultaneously.

Parking permits for high school students driving to school will be sold beginning Monday, August 12th, for $15 each. The student will need a signed permission form, payment, driver's license, and proof of insurance to receive a parking permit.

For more information, call the Malvern Middle School and High School office at 330-863-1355.
